Happy November – it’s the 25th anniversary of November Rain from Guns N Roses.
The single came out in 1992 with a run time of 8:57, but the original version was 25 minutes long! It’s the longest song to ever be a Top 10 hit.
The video with Axl’s girlfriend at the time, Stephanie Seymour, was shot at a church in New Mexico with 1500 extras, and it cost around 1.5 million dollars to make.
BUT DID IT MAKE ANY SENSE? Axl and Stephanie get married (which is a jinx, you shouldn’t “pretend”) and then it starts raining during the reception. Okay, but HOW DOES SHE DIE? The rain killed her? Is she allergic to water? And who’s the jackass who dove right through the wedding cake?
All we know is that rain is THE WORST thing to ever happen. After divey McGee jumps through the cake the very next shot is Stephanie IN A CASKET with no explanation of how she died.
I think Guns N Roses fans should start a petition and demand answers!
Maybe this behind-the-scenes “making of November Rain” will help clear things up.
