Everyone should get a free day off. Not a vacation day, not a sick day, not even a stat.
Maybe we could call it a “City Day.” Calgary’s doing it already – they have an unofficial holiday for the Stampede Parade where a lot of people take a day (or half day) off!
Downtown roads are closed and it’s the kickoff to their big summer event, so people spend the time getting out to enjoy the sights and sounds and pancake breakfasts.
But what about the rest of us? Should we take a lesson from Calgary and have a day to get out and enjoy the community we live in?
It might not be the same cowboy culture as Calgary, but every city in Canada can find something worth celebrating, so print this off and use as needed!
