A Kingston family of five won $100,000 matching 6 of 7 numbers with ENCORE in the February 1st LOTTO 6/49 draw.
Joan and Lewis, and their daughter Kerrie, picked up the giant cheque, which will be split among them and the couple’s two sons, Jeffrey and Daniel.
“We are a very close family and we love spending time together,” said Joan. “We decided to go in together on a lottery pool. It was a one-time group play, and one time is all we needed!”
After the shock wore off, Joan and Lewis called their kids over to tell them the news.
Kerrie began to feel nervous. “Our parents sent all the grandkids to play in a different room because they wanted to talk to me and my brothers. We were all a bit nervous that it was bad news. What else could it be?”
