Do you have the winter blahs?
Tried of shoveling, scraping your car, and always being cold?
Then this is good news.
It is officially the dead of winter.
Now, while that doesn’t exactly have a chipper ring to it, it’s actually a good thing.
Environment Canada says the definition of the dead of winter is the point where there is more winter behind us than ahead of us.
It’s not a universal date across Canada. For example, in Victoria, B.C. the dead of winter date was January 3rd.
But for us in Ontario, it’s January 19th.
There is another side to this.
For those strange creatures I don’t understand who actually enjoy winter, this means you better get all your winter activities in soon, because we’re halfway to Spring.
