Alan Thicke became a household name thanks to the 1980’s sitcom Growing Pains but he got his start in show biz long before that. His first gig was as a writer on CBC’s The Tommy Hunter Show back in 1968.
The Canadian-born actor passed away yesterday. He was 69. Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year old son Carter.
