Looks like the Toronto Blue Jays aren’t ready for the season to be over!
The bats came alive and Toronto’s offence broke out of a slump for a 5-1 win over Cleveland.
Here’s how it happened:
Aaron Sanchez pitched six strong innings.
Josh Donaldson opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third.
Ezequiel Carerra hit an RBI single in the fourth.
Edwin Encarnacion had a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh.
Kevin Pillar had a sac fly in the eigth.
Check out how excited Josh Donaldson was scoring the homer (and for good reason):
And a little slow-mo to really capture Donaldson’s excitement…
It’s kind of monumental for Donaldson. It was his fourth postseason home run, which ties him with Edwin Encarnacion. Only Joe Carter and Jose Bautista have more (six each).
The Jays look to Marco Estrada to start things off today for game 5 of the ALCS.
It gets underway at 4:08pm at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
