Who carries cash these days?
Well, here’s a reason to use it every once in a while rather than plastic.
It can actually make your food taste better.
The most common forms of payment these days are credit and debit, but there’s something to be said about using cash.
Researchers have done experiments on this and found that when consumers use cash for products and services, they place a higher value on them.
Why is this? You are physically handing over your money. You feel the pain of the payment and are more tied to the purchase emotionally.
It kind of goes like this… if the purchase you’re making is a higher amount, you literally have to hand over more bills and coins.
With a credit or debit card, it doesn’t matter how big or small the purchase, you simply swipe or tap your card.
It makes sense! This must be one of the reasons some financial advisors ( for example, the ones on TV) suggest you use cash for your purchases – especially if you are prone to overspending.
