Maybe you don’t have any experience on a construction site. That’s okay! You can still volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
Susan with Habitat for Humanity Kingston says no carpentry skills are required to lend a hand at their new build in Napanee.
The walls are being raised at 231 King Street on Saturday, October 1st and the goal is to have the house complete by November 5th.
Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers with an open mind and who are willing to take direction.
If you have your own steel-toed boots, tools, measuring tape etc., that’s a bonus! Bring them along!
If not, they have a limited amount to share with volunteers.
The build will likely take 5 weeks and they work on it from Monday to Saturday, but that doesn’t mean you have to commit to the whole time.
Volunteers are welcome to come out for half a day or a full day.

By volunteering, you’ll make a big difference in the life of a partner family… and besides that, construction sites are sexy…
