A team of scientists have found the latest key to feeding the world’s growing population – cockroach milk. It’s four times more nutritious than cow’s milk. “It’s a complete food – with proteins, fats and sugars” said a rep from the Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (does that fit on a business card?). “A fantastic protein supplement.”
The problem – you guessed it, milking the cockroach. Only one type of the bug actually produces milk, so the big brains are working on synthetically producing the milk in the lab. If not, they’ll start working on very tiny buckets?
