It’s a debate that could go on until then end of time, who is the best ‘Bond’? Personally, Daniel Craig takes the top spot for me. After ‘Spectre’ Daniel Criag has been pretty harsh on how he feels about the Bond films and MGM. In fact, he even said that he would rather ‘slash his wrists’ than play Bond again. But could enough money bring him back for two more films?
Doesn’t look like it. The MGM studio apparently offered him a ton of cash – double what he had been making – but he just walked away. It’s pretty much MGM that he wants to part ways with than the actual character – plus he’s 48 and considering he’s taken a bit of a beating playing 007 over the last 11 years – he needs a break.
An LA film source told the Daily Mail: “Daniel is done – pure and simple – he told top brass at MGM after Spectre. He had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing, but the film company still felt he could come around after Spectre if he was offered a money deal.”
Let’s be real here, Daniel has been pretty critical about the role and MGM for the last year or so. Regardless of how great he was as 007 – a company can only take so much. I’m guessing that this has become more of a mutual decision than anything else. So, who’s next to don the 007 suit?
Tom Hiddleston is the name that’s been tossed about in the rumor mill and word on the street is that this will become official in the coming days. Who do you think was the best Bond and who do you think should be the next?
