Dust off that leotard and do something good for your city!
In New York City, a guy named Chris Pollack – who calls himself Dark Guardian – is patrolling the streets and, supposedly, fighting crime. He’s also now looking for superhero recruits to join his real-life “Justice League.”
Pollack… er… Dark Guardian… founded the New York Ronins superhero academy with a successful GoFundMe campaign in 2013 and is now looking to expand. The goal is to hit the streets to deter crime, to look for people who are “up to no good” and to distribute wanted posters.
A marital arts instructor, Dark Guardian says his ideal candidate would be somebody who is actually physically capable and street smart, with some self-defense skills. He claims they’re not looking to get into fights, but are looking to “handle situations.”
Is this a good idea? A bunch of guys running around in pajamas stirring up the pot. Are they part of the solution or do they end up being part of the problem?
