Forget all that talk about 50 being the new 40 – They’re now saying that 30 is really the new 45.
We’re so unhealthy that we’re 15 years OLDER than our parents were at the same age! Today’s 30 something’s are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure and diabetes because of poor health. Men in their 30s are 20% more likely to be overweight than in previous generations, and women in their 20s are twice as likely to be a bit overweight. We need a giant panda preventing us from buying crap at the store.
One thing is certain, the fact that we’ll all have to work into our 70’s – staying healthy is more important than ever. Eating, drinking and clubbing yourself silly to a full pension at 65 is no longer a reality.
You can still go clubbing or crowd surfing in your 60’s – but that’s how you’re gonna break a hip…I mean doing the worm at 65 isn’t exactly a great idea (people still do the worm right?)
