Imagine bringing a child into this world with a rare disorder called oculocutaneous albinism. The condition affects a persons hair, skin and eyes – as well as their sight. Meaning, your child will only be able to ‘see’ through the use of his hands – by touching things.
That was the case for a 4 month old, until they were able to get their son Leo a new pair of glasses. The moment they put the glasses on their little boy was the first time he was able to look his mom in the eyes. Watch his reaction here:
Leo’s Dad said “I was overwhelmed with emotion. It’s just very touching. You cannot anticipate how you’re going to feel when something like that happens. It was very heartwarming. Leo looked at my wife for the first time and saw her for the first time. He’s smiling a lot more and he can see everybody in the room, he’s interacting more”
Just another reason to never give up – like the little girl below refused to do!
