The Home Show finished with a bang yesterday, as several cash prizes were given away to those who bought Kinsmen Dream home tickets. And then of course, there was the dream home itself.
This year’s home on Woodhaven Drive is valued at 500-thousand dollar home and was built by Caraco homes. Tickets were 150 dollars each and they sold out! The money will help several programs in Kingston, with the majority going to the neo-natal intensive care unit at KGH.
I’m always nervous picking the name because I REALLY want it to be a life-changing experience for the person who wins.
I pulled it out the winning ticket, and then Bill Hutchins and myself gave the winner a call. Here’s the big announcement!
Congratulations to Barb and Larry Gike of Camden East. The rest of the phone call was pretty much Barb trying to catch her breathe. Needless to say, a life-changer!
