With Batman V Superman hitting the big screen this weekend and what appears to be a number of mixed reviews – let’s take a look at the best and worst portrayals of the Dark Knight.
I think the title for worst Batman ever has to go to George Clooney. First of all, he’s not gritty enough. Perhaps the biggest reason for him coming in dead last was the bat suit. One word…nipples. Just wrong.
Val Kilmer would be next line for worst batman ever. He’s a decent actor and all, but it just wasn’t bad ass enough. The dark knight should be…well…somewhat dark. This portrayal seemed a little too much on the comedic, campy side.
Adam West is one of my favorites because it was created to be humorous and campy. It was ridiculous, which was what made it great. He’s not my number one choice – but he deserves some props.
The Dark Knight trilogy was probably the best portrayal of Batman yet – but I’m not so sure Christian Bale should hold the number 1 spot when it comes to wearing the bat cape. Personally, his batman ‘voice’ was too over the top.
Michael Keaton was the first actor to take part in a real big screen portrayal – even though everyone freaked out when it was announced. No one thought he was a good fit. But, ya know what? I still think he was the best Batman so far. As Bruce Wayne he fit the mold. As Batman, he looked the part.
The Ben Affleck Batman is yet to be determined – but, so far, the reviews seem pretty positive.
Here’s a complete rundown of ALL the guys to ever wear the bat suit.
