Why can’t we just be real with one another? Earlier this week, the PGA was accused of photoshopping at least one of their players.
Recently the PGA decided to take a few head shots of their players – which are used for various promotional purposes as well as on digital scoreboards. But for one player, the picture that was released was different than how he actually appears.
Thomas Pieters, a 23-year-old golfer from Belgium who won twice on the European Tour last year, tweeted the two pictures out side by side with the following statement:
Guess the PGA Tour doesn’t like my curly hair, so they gave me a photoshop haircut.
The PGA countered saying the hair was shortened in his picture—because the pictures are used on digital scoreboards which often tend to make longer hair fuzzier and harder to capture.
Maybe the PGA shouldn’t worry about shortening the hair of their golfers as much as they should the ears of their viewers considering how often we’re subjected to Tiger Woods throwing out all those F-bombs.
